Barry Manilow Postpones 2026 Farewell Tour Following Lung Cancer Diagnosis
Legendary performer and multi-award winner (Grammy, Tony, and Emmy) Barry Manilow has announced the postponement of his 2026 farewell tour. The singer shared the news with fans via Instagram, revealing that a cancerous spot was discovered on his left lung during a medical examination following a recent bout of bronchitis.
“I’m Going Into Surgery”

Manilow provided a personal update regarding his condition and the immediate steps for his recovery:
“The bad news is that now that the Christmas ‘A Gift of Love’ concerts are over, I’m going into surgery to have the spot removed,” Manilow explained. “The doctors do not believe it has spread, and I’m taking tests to confirm their diagnosis… The only follow-up is a month to recover, and that means we have to reschedule the January arena concerts.”
Impact on the 2026 Farewell Tour
These live shows are particularly significant as they mark Manilow’s final concerts in several major markets, including Orlando, Tampa, Charleston, Greensboro, and Columbus.
-
Tickets: Fans holding tickets for the January dates can use them for the rescheduled performances.
-
Vegas Residency: His Las Vegas residency dates, set to begin in February, remain on schedule and unaffected by these changes.
-
The Show: Manilow is expected to return to the stage in late February to perform his legendary hits, such as “Mandy,” “Copacabana (At the Copa),” and “Can’t Smile Without You.”
