Introduction
Barry Manilow Prepares Final U.S. Farewell Tour as “Once Before I Go” Video Premieres
Barry Manilow—one of the most enduring and influential figures in popular music—has unveiled a new music video for his latest single, “Once Before I Go,” just ahead of his final U.S. concert dates scheduled for January 2026. Now 82, the superstar will take the stage in nine American cities, marking the end of his touring era after more than five decades of defining the adult contemporary genre.
The video for Once Before I Go—produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Demonte Posey and written by Peter Allen and Dean Pitchford—was filmed at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, home of Manilow’s historic, record-setting residency. Directed by Jamie Thraves, the visual portrays Manilow reflecting on the personal costs of a life spent performing, highlighting the tension between the stage and the quieter, more traditional life he left behind.
The Westgate setting carries special meaning: in 2023, Manilow surpassed Elvis Presley’s legendary record for the most performances at the venue’s International Theater. He will continue his “lifetime residency,” MANILOW: Las Vegas – The Hits Come Home!, with select dates extending through 2026.

A Legacy Spanning Generations

Born Barry Alan Pincus in Brooklyn in 1943, Manilow began his career composing and arranging jingles in the 1960s, creating memorable melodies for brands like McDonald’s, State Farm, Pepsi, and KFC—many of which still resonate today.
His breakthrough came in 1974 with the global hit Mandy, which launched him into superstardom. Through the 1970s and beyond, he delivered a steady stream of signature songs, earning worldwide acclaim and topping the Billboard charts with Barry Manilow Live in 1977.
Over the course of his career, Manilow has sold more than 85 million albums, scored 51 Top 40 singles and 13 No. 1 hits, and earned Grammys, Emmys, a Tony Award, and induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has been named the No. 1 Adult Contemporary Artist of all time by both Billboard and Radio & Records.
His artistic pursuits have extended beyond pop music. His Broadway musical Harmony—inspired by the true story of a German vocal group disrupted by the rise of the Nazi regime—received widespread praise during its 2023 run in New York.
In 2026, Manilow will also receive the President’s Award from the American Advertising Federation, recognizing his significant cultural impact not only in music but also in the world of advertising.
Offstage, he remains dedicated to supporting young musicians through the Manilow Music Project, which supplies instruments and funding to under-resourced school music programs across the United States.
While the 2026 tour marks his final round of performances in the listed cities, Manilow isn’t stepping away from music. His Las Vegas residency continues, and with the reflective tone of Once Before I Go, this moment feels less like a farewell and more like a graceful, heartfelt milestone in a remarkable career.
