Barry Manilow Reverses Farewell Plans With Surprise U.K. Tour: ‘I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye!’

Little over a year after declaring his farewell to U.K. audiences, Barry Manilow has stunned fans by announcing a new series of “Last Last” concerts in the United Kingdom for 2026. The legendary singer, best known for hits like Copacabana and Mandy, will return to arenas in Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Cardiff, Birmingham, and London from June 9 to 17, 2026. Tickets are set to go on sale September 5 at 10 a.m. local time.

This announcement comes after Manilow’s 2024 farewell run in the U.K., which saw him perform 15 sold-out concerts at the London Palladium in May and June. He has also staged multiple “final” performances across U.S. cities in 2025, including Boston, Philadelphia, Oakland, and Sacramento, alongside a regular residency in Las Vegas that continues through 2026.

Reflecting on his decision to return, Manilow shared a heartfelt statement with fans. “I swear, I SWEAR I really meant it when I said goodbye to everyone in the UK on the last night of our fantastic run at the great London Palladium,” he wrote. “The audiences there were fantastic as usual, and that last night was very moving, knowing that I wouldn’t be seeing my U.K. friends anymore.”

The 82-year-old crooner explained that while the farewell felt genuine at the time, he quickly realized he wasn’t ready to step away from the stage entirely. “It was odd flying home because I wasn’t tired, my voice had held up for the entire run, and each show was more exciting than the last. I wasn’t even out of breath at the end of each show. But I guess ‘leave ’em wanting more’ was a good rule to follow.”

Manilow humorously acknowledged his age, joking, “After all, I’m 100-years-old and any day now I’m probably going to lose my hair, gain a big pot belly, and need a cane to dance around to Copacabana. But, as of now, I can still run around the stage, I can still hit the high F Natural at the end of Even Now, and I still look fabulous! But I said goodbye and I meant it. Sort of. There was just one thing—I don’t wanna say goodbye! So we’re coming back. We’re going to have a great, big Barry Manilow concert! Hope you all come. We’ll have a ball!”

He has achieved 13 No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart, including I Write the Songs, Looks Like We Made It, and Mandy, all of which also reached the top of the Hot 100. His most recent studio album, Night Songs II, was released in February 2020.

With his energy, voice, and charisma still going strong, Manilow’s return to the U.K. promises to be a celebration of his decades-long career. Fans can expect a spectacular series of performances filled with his timeless hits, signature showmanship, and plenty of surprises. The “Last Last” concerts may not truly be the end—but they are shaping up to be unforgettable, proving that Barry Manilow isn’t quite ready to say goodbye.
